Fangirling

Yes - it's true: I am over 20 years old, and I still love watching saturday morning cartoons. I watch a Disney movie at least every two weeks, and admit to liking comic books. Yay me! Most of the time when I watch movies now I like to sketch expressions. Disney is especially easy to imitate because the emotional impressions are so exaggerated hee hee... so here's a few doodles. Hopefully you can tell what they're from...

This one is a little pathetic - I don't usually draw with pens...so the proportions are different than what I wanted in the first place, but I really like Cap'n Hook's hair, so I decided to show it :) heh heh

Aladdin being either seriously confused, angry, or caught in mid-song.

Yay! This is my favorite Disney movie - I love all the crazy animals they put together to make the coolness that is the Beast.

Princely Ransom

I started doing these "ransom note" collages last year. It was somewhat of a hobby for me when I was in junior high to take interesting pictures from magazines and put them together to make something new, and I thought it would be fun to do it again.
This one is a portrait of a favorite book character and contains about 30-35 separate pictures. There are tons of mistakes, but I kinda like it that way.
I like hiding personality traits in there -10 in this particular one- see how many you can find! Example: he has a "screw loose" hee hee...

Thanks Corbis photostock and google image search for some of the photos and paintings!

Contemplating the Spoon

yep > it's the TICK. For some reason I almost always think of the Tick whenever I see the statue widely known as "The Thinker". It's probably just because he's rediculously buff. ah well - till next time remember:

"Spoon boy: Do not try and bend the spoon. That's impossible. Instead... only try to realize the truth.
Neo: What truth?
Spoon boy: There is no spoon.
Neo: There is no spoon?
Spoon boy: Then you'll see, that it is not the spoon that bends, it is only yourself. "
